【学术报告】西安交通大学刘杰副教授:拓扑超导体纳米线中的奇异干涉效应

We study the non-local transport property of Majorana quasiparticle states (MQPs) in a normal lead-topological superconducting wire-normal lead (NSN) system.  We found that the tunneling coefficient of the electron transmission process displays an interesting even-odd interference behavior. However, this even-odd interference behavior is difficult to be observed in the tunneling coefficient of the crossed Andreev reflection process (CAR). We show that this even-odd interference behavior is directly related to the self-Hermitian property of MQPs. Due to the self-Hermitian property, the correction to the transport in the electron transmission process is a first-order one while the correction in the CAR process is a higher-order one. Thus, the interference behavior is more apparent in the electron transmission process than in the CAR process. Such a unique transport property demonstrates the non-locality and self-Hermitian characteristics of MQPs。

主讲人介绍:

刘杰,2011年获中国科学院物理研究所博士学位,先后在香港科技大学、香港大学从事博士后研究,2014年10月至今在西安交通大学理学院工作。在Phys.Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. B, 等发表文章10余篇。近期研究方向为拓扑超导体中输运性质研究。
